Funds Partnership is a specialist recruitment and executive search firm able to source some of the best Accounting and Finance professionals in over 8 European countries. We are a small, boutique agency who prefers to speak to a small number of specially selected clients and candidates, at the top of the market. As a result we don’t normally contact many people each week, but when we do they are normally specifically selected for their skill and exposure to certain key areas of the Accountancy business. We use a simple quality over quantity method but our expansion suggests it is working as we are increasing our client base in all the countries where we operate as well as pushing out into new markets abroad.

Looking for the best
We aim to find our clients some of the best accountants and finance professionals in the market, which doesn’t just mean finding people with the best skills but also doing our best to find those whose aspirations go hand in hand with those of our clients, to be sure that we will find the candidates who really become team members, staying on-board and building the company and enjoying themselves as they go. We take the long term view that happy clients and candidates return and we are happy to put ourselves out for our contacts. A few years ago when we set up the business we would have pitched for ‘exclusivity’ across all roles, these days clients come to us without needing an exclusive contract in place, giving us all their business because they find it’s a lot easier to call one person who they know has it covered. It’s still a lot of work for us to deliver the best in the market and we try to be realistic about the roles we take on, limiting the number of clients and candidates and ensuring they fit within the boundaries of our accounting, finance and fund areas. We’re probably a little different to others but we are very happy to prove ourselves especially at the start of our relationships.

We work on roles from Senior Accountant up to Finance Director and CFO. Our clients are a range of Service Firms such as Tax, Accounting, Trust and Professional Services Companies, but we also cover a huge number of ‘end-clients’ including Investors, Funds and Management Companies. Through our experienced, multilingual team of recruiters we are able to develop relationships with some of the top firms throughout the UK and Europe. The networking process
Unless you are actively involved in the business it can be very difficult to really know the top performers, as most work friendships and networking opportunities only go as far as the contact during daily work. Our aim is to add our network onto that of our clients and candidates; while our employees have a huge range of skills their key attribute is their ability to network and recognise good people. Many clients reach out to us during bid-process and even early proposal stages as they like us to keep them informed about people who might be looking although not actively, we are their ear to the ground and their network as they need us to be.
