Area of expertise: Currently, I specialise in finding top performers for Sales, Marketing, and Investor Relations/ Fundraiser in the alternative fund space across APAC. With a background in accounting and having placed mainly back-office accounting & finance professionals at the beginning of my career with FP Asia, sets the foundation for me to see the bigger picture of how the front, middle, and back offices are interconnected in the asset management space. 

Background: Prior to joining Funds Partnership Asia, I specialised in recruitment for the Food & Beverage, Retail and Manufacturing sectors for the past five years, and placed candidates from Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, South Korea and China. As someone who does not settle for the status quo, I wanted to challenge myself by venturing into a different industry and working on roles which require completely different skillsets. I was drawn to the Asset Management and Investment Funds industry because it allows me to connect the dots of the entire value chain, from the seeding of life for a business to the whole ecosystem of value creation.

Career Advice: Disruption can be a positive force in building a more well-rounded and robust working culture. Employers may benefit from hiring non-traditional candidates who can offer different perspectives and new solutions. Employees may gain more by going outside their comfort zones and acquiring new skills and knowledge to help further their careers.
