Our client is a prestigious international corporate services provider with an established presence across multiple key locations in mainland China. With a diverse portfolio of international clients, they specialize in helping foreign companies enter and operate in the Chinese market. 
 

The Role

This Shanghai-based position focuses on developing new client relationships in Shanghai As an Associate Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing new foreign direct investment (FDI) clients for the company's corporate services and accounting solutions.
 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive new client acquisition for corporate service offerings, including company setup, licensing, and accounting services
  • Participate in industry events and deliver presentations to potential clients
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key intermediaries (law firms, PE funds, chambers of commerce)
  • Work closely with internal risk committee and service delivery teams
  • Identify client pain points and tailor professional service offerings to meet specific business needs
  • Create targeted customer acquisition plans for different cities/regions
  • Collaborate with senior delivery team members to develop new service offerings
  The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an experienced business development professional with:

  • 8-10 years of experience in corporate or professional services, with a proven sales track record
  • Strong network in the local market and established channels with intermediaries
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Law, Business Administration, or related field
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to represent the company at events
  • Strong understanding of China's commercial and regulatory landscape
  • Experience in solution-based selling and complex multi-jurisdictional proposals
  • Fluent English, with additional European languages being a plus
