USES OF PERSONAL DATA

FP posts information about employment vacancies on the Website, on behalf of third parties (“Job Specifications”). These Job Specifications are anonymous and can be accessed and read by other users of the Website. We hold no Client data on the Website.

When you apply to a position on our website, your CV is sent to our general mailing address and is available to our Recruiting Team for review. Your CV and your application for a particular position are held both within a Team CV inbox and on the platform from which it came. The relevant recruiter may contact you on the day you apply, or up to several months later if another suitable role becomes available.

Due to the high volume of incoming applications, we are unable to reply to every application. If you have not been contacted within 2 weeks of your application, in most cases you have been unsuccessful on this occasion. This does not prevent you from applying for similar vacancies in the future. To follow up on an application, please email general@fundspartnership.com stating the date you applied, the title of the position, and attach your CV.

We use information held about you in the following ways:

Candidates

  • To provide prospective and registered Candidates with the possibility to review job specifications on our website, and to discuss similar opportunities with our team and, if suitable, our clients;
  • To discuss the market and typical opportunities available with a view to gaining a better understanding of career options.

Clients

  • To assist Clients in finding new employees through our recruitment and executive search services;
  • To discuss the market with a view to understanding the talent available, salary brackets, vacancies, job descriptions, and other information services around hiring within the financial sector;
  • To match Candidate CVs to Job Specifications. Submission of a particular Job Specification is treated as confidential by us.

Other uses include: ensuring website content is presented effectively for you and your device; providing information, products or services that you request or that may interest you (where you have consented); enabling you to participate in interactive features; notifying you about changes to our service; and responding to your application to a Job Specification. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by emailing general@fundspartnership.com with “UNSUBSCRIBE” in the subject line, or by clicking the Unsubscribe link in any email.

We do not request (nor encourage you) to submit sensitive data to the Website, (i.e. data relating to racial or ethnic origin, political or religious opinions, membership of a trade union, physical or mental health or condition or sexual life, the commission of any offence or related documentation). If, however, you choose to do so then you consent to our processing this data in the manner set out in this Privacy Policy.

OUR USE OF WHATSAPP BUSINES

When you communicate with us via WhatsApp Business, we collect and process: your phone number, profile information, message content, media, and metadata (timestamps, delivery and read status).

We use this data to respond to your inquiries, schedule interviews, send job updates, and — with your consent — deliver marketing messages regarding recruitment services or job opportunities.

Your choices regarding WhatsApp communications: you may opt out of marketing messages by replying “STOP” to any WhatsApp message, emailing us, or blocking our WhatsApp Business number. Blocking or unsubscribing may not stop transactional or service-related messages required for your job application or placement.

WhatsApp/Meta processes your data according to their own privacy policies and may store data outside Singapore or the EU. We recommend reviewing their Privacy Policy for further details.

ON WHICH LEGAL BASIS DO WE PROCESS PERSONAL DATA?

For data subjects in Singapore, we process personal data under the PDPA, principally on the basis of:

  • Express consent given by the individual (for example, when a candidate submits a CV);
  • Deemed consent, where an individual voluntarily provides personal data for the purposes of receiving recruitment services;
  • Deemed consent by notification, where we have given notice of the purposes of collection, use or disclosure;
  • Other lawful bases recognised by the PDPA, including the legitimate interests exception where its criteria are met.

Where applicable law (such as UK or EU GDPR) requires a specific lawful basis — for example, where we process personal data of candidates located in the UK or EEA on behalf of a client established in those regions — we rely on the basis identified in the relevant client agreement, which will typically be performance of our recruitment services, our legitimate interests as a recruiter, or, where required, the candidate’s consent.

CROSS BORDER DATA TRANSFERS

FP Global is headquartered in Singapore, and personal data is primarily held and processed in Singapore. As part of our recruitment services, we may share candidate personal data with clients located in other jurisdictions, including the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, the Channel Islands, the United States, the Middle East, the Asia-Pacific region, and other locations where our clients operate.

Where the personal data of UK or EEA-based candidates is transferred outside the UK/EEA in the course of a recruitment engagement, we rely on the data transfer mechanism agreed with the relevant client in our client services agreement. Depending on the client and the jurisdiction concerned, this may include the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA), the UK Addendum to the 2021 EU Standard Contractual Clauses, the 2021 EU Standard Contractual Clauses themselves, or another appropriate safeguard permitted under applicable law.

For transfers of personal data from Singapore to other jurisdictions, we comply with the transfer limitation obligation under section 26 of the PDPA, including by taking reasonable steps to ensure that the recipient organisation provides a comparable standard of protection to the personal data.

DISCLOSURE TO THIRD PARTIES

Data processing is performed using IT or automated tools, and paper hard copy where applicable, in each case using a medium suitable for ensuring security and confidentiality.

The following parties may receive personal data, either as external data processors or, where the legal requirements are met, as autonomous Controllers: (i) public authorities, where FP is under a legal obligation to disclose or where there is substantial public interest; (ii) third party service providers such as lawyers, auditors, credit institutions for payment provisions or other financial activities; and (iii) affiliates, parent companies, or associated companies of FP. FP may also disclose data where you have asked us to or where there is a legitimate reason to do so.

Where personal data of UK or EEA-based individuals is transferred outside the UK/EEA, that transfer takes place in compliance with the safeguards required by UK or EU GDPR, as agreed with the relevant client. For other transfers, we comply with the transfer limitation obligation under the PDPA.

SECURITY AND CONTROL OF YOUR DATA

We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. Although we will endeavour to protect your data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to the Website; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use procedures and security features designed to prevent unauthorised access. You acknowledge that we are not responsible for any intercepted information sent via the Internet.

We collect only such information as is useful and required for the performance of the services we provide to Clients and Candidates. Personal data will be held for a period of three (3) years, and in any event no longer than necessary for the purposes of processing or as required by law.

IP ADDRESSES AND COOKIES

We may collect information about your computer, including, where available, your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and statistical purposes. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns and does not identify any individual.

LINKS TO THIRD PARTY WEBSITES

The Website may contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates, as well as third party websites with which we have no affiliation. These websites have their own privacy policies, and we accept no responsibility or liability for those policies.

ACCESS TO INFORMATION AND UPDATING, VERIFYING AND DELETING DATA

At any time you can make a written request to access the personal information we hold about you. You may inform us of any changes in your data, and we will update or delete your data accordingly. You may ask for rectification where personal information is inaccurate or incomplete. You also have the right to ask for your data to be erased from FP’s systems and the systems of any third parties acting on our behalf, subject to applicable law and any retention obligations.

You may, at your discretion, (i) refuse to communicate your data to FP and the recipients, (ii) refuse the processing of the data (where the data has been processed on the basis of FP’s legitimate interest or for the performance of the contract), or (iii) withdraw consent to processing. In these cases FP may not be able to provide the Candidate or Client with the relevant Service.

To exercise these rights or for any other data protection queries, please contact us at general@fundspartnership.com or +65 6635 7611. Before providing us with personal data of others, the Client shall inform those individuals about the processing described in this Privacy Policy and provide a copy of this Privacy Policy to them.
