Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join a established fund administration firm in Hong Kong. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-driven sales professional to drive growth in our fund administration services, with a particular focus on closed-end private equity funds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within the private equity fund space in Hong Kong and potentially mainland China
  • Develop and implement effective business plans to target key prospects in the fund management sector
  • Build and nurture relationships with fund managers, general partners, and other key decision-makers
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and conduct pitch meetings with prospective clients
  • Work closely with the onboarding team to ensure smooth client transitions
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences to enhance visibility
  • Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline, and market intelligence
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Proven track record in business development or sales within fund administration, fund services, or related financial services
  • Strong understanding of private equity fund structures, operations, and administration requirements
  • Established network of contacts within Hong Kong's financial services industry, particularly in the fund management space
  • Self-motivated "hunter" mentality with ability to independently originate and close business
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • Strong communication abilities with fluency in English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin proficiency to communicate with Mandarin speaking clients
  • Willingness to travel within Asia Pacific region (particularly to mainland China) as required
