We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Director to join the fund services arm of a leading investment group in Asia. As the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for driving new client acquisitions and increasing revenue in the Asia-Pacific region. The focus is on driving new business across institutional-quality managers, particularly within the hedge fund space.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and win new fund administration mandates from investment managers
- Focus on originating business from hedge funds, with flexibility to cover other asset classes (private credit, PE, real estate)
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified prospects, and progress them through the sales cycle
- Prepare fee proposals and commercial terms in response to RFPs or direct negotiations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including legal, onboarding, and operations to ensure smooth proposal delivery and client alignment
- Leverage your own network and third-party relationships to generate leads
- Monitor market trends and client needs to inform commercial strategy and sales messaging
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience in sales or business development within financial services, with a focus on serving hedge fund or asset management clients
- Strong network among first-tier, international fund managers; prior success working with global hedge funds is a key advantage
- Strong self-confidence and strategic mindset to lead and contribute to discussions with stakeholders at various seniority levels.
- Demonstrated sales skills and a track record of meeting targets.
