About the Role 

A prestigious asset management firm backed by a global investment group is looking for a  Distribution Sales Director  for their APAC fundraising efforts . The firm offers a diverse and expanding platform across public and private strategies and is in a significant phase of global growth.

This is a foundational hire , reporting directly to the CEO . The successful candidate will take ownership of building out the firm’s distribution and intermediary sales strategy across APAC. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead fundraising efforts across APAC via private banks, wealth platforms, insurance distributors, and other wholesale channels.
  • Drive product onboarding and shelf space with leading regional private banks.
  • Build a pipeline of accredited investors and wealth intermediaries across the APAC region.
  • Develop and manage long-term relationships with product gatekeepers and distribution partners.
  • Represent the firm in client meetings and product pitches.
  • Collaborate with internal product and compliance teams to support fund marketing and due diligence process

Desired Qualifications
  • Min. 7 years of experience in fund distribution, intermediary sales, or wholesale sales within a global asset manager.
  • Proven track record of onboarding funds onto private banking platforms and driving fundraising success.
  • Strong network across APAC private banks and distributors (Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills; commercial, and relationship-driven.
  • Self-starter with a “hunter” mindset – comfortable with cold outreach and business development.
  • Familiarity with mutual funds and/or alternative investment strategies.
