About the Role
A prestigious asset management firm backed by a global investment group is looking for a Distribution Sales Director
for their APAC fundraising efforts
. The firm offers a diverse and expanding platform across public and private strategies and is in a significant phase of global growth.
This is a foundational hire
, reporting directly to the CEO
. The successful candidate will take ownership of building out the firm’s distribution and intermediary sales strategy across APAC.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead fundraising efforts across APAC via private banks, wealth platforms, insurance distributors, and other wholesale channels.
- Drive product onboarding and shelf space with leading regional private banks.
- Build a pipeline of accredited investors and wealth intermediaries across the APAC region.
- Develop and manage long-term relationships with product gatekeepers and distribution partners.
- Represent the firm in client meetings and product pitches.
- Collaborate with internal product and compliance teams to support fund marketing and due diligence process
Desired Qualifications
- Min. 7 years of experience in fund distribution, intermediary sales, or wholesale sales within a global asset manager.
- Proven track record of onboarding funds onto private banking platforms and driving fundraising success.
- Strong network across APAC private banks and distributors (Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills; commercial, and relationship-driven.
- Self-starter with a “hunter” mindset – comfortable with cold outreach and business development.
- Familiarity with mutual funds and/or alternative investment strategies.
