Role: Our client, a prestigious international financial services firm with offices across Asia, seeks an entrepreneurial and seasoned capital markets expert to establish and lead their expanding debt services business. The Opportunity:This is a unique opportunity for an established senior professional to lead the development of our Business Development team in Asia, driving revenue growth across the region. The role offers significant autonomy in developing and implementing strategic business plans.. The ideal candidate will possess the independence, commercial acumen, and established networks to rapidly penetrate Chinese banks and capital markets while delivering tangible revenue growth across Asia.
- Autonomously develop and execute business growth strategies across Asian markets
- Build and nurture high-value client relationships with decision-makers in financial institutions
- Design, price, and deliver fee proposals for complex debt capital market transactions
- Drive new business acquisition, particularly in Chinese markets and bond issuances
- Lead with entrepreneurial vision to identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities
- Proven track record establishing or scaling a capital markets/corporate trust business in Asia
- Extensive experience with loan agency, security trustee services, and debt capital markets
- Strong network of established relationships with financial institutions across Asia
- Fluent Chinese language skills (Mandarin/Cantonese) to effectively penetrate local markets
- Self-starter with exceptional commercial instincts and the ability to work independently
