A growing independent professional services firm is seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially driven Managing Director to lead its Singapore office. Reporting directly to the regional board, this high-impact role carries full P&L responsibility and offers significant autonomy to shape the business's next phase of growth.
The Managing Director will play a dual role as both a senior client advisor and business leader , responsible for revenue generation, client retention, and operational delivery. The ideal candidate will bring deep professional expertise and the credibility to advise corporates, family offices, and entrepreneurs across multi-jurisdictional needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Leadership
- Drive revenue growth and achieve EBITDA targets aligned with the annual budget
- Originate new clients through your network and expand existing client relationships through cross-selling and upselling
- Develop and implement business development strategies including feeder channels (e.g. legal, tax, intermediaries)
- Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the lead advisor for key clients, ensuring excellence in the delivery of corporate services, accountng servies, tax planning, tax compliance, wealth and estate planning, Singapore residency solutions and other bespoke consultancy mandates
- Oversee pricing, proposal preparation, and ensure client retention remains above 95% (by revenue)
- Team Management & Culture
- Lead, coach, and mentor a lean team of professionals
- Maintain a culture of agility, professionalism, and client-first thinking
- Ensure staff engagement and retention
- Operational & Strategic Execution
- Oversee day-to-day service delivery across mandates, ensuring deadlines and regulatory standards are met
- Recommend and implement improvements to workflows, processes, and client servicing models
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting cycles and oversee integration of acquired teams or entities into a unified structure
- External Representation
- Act as a brand ambassador for the firm at conferences, roadshows, and client meetings across Asia and Europe
- Build visibility and trust within the intermediary ecosystem
Candidate Profile
Experience & Track Record
- 15–20 years of experience in professional services
, with a focus in at least one of the following areas:
- Tax advisory
- Corporate services
- Accounting or fiduciary services
- Demonstrated success in client acquisition, relationship management, and commercial leadership
- Strong exposure to cross-border structuring and familiarity with Singapore’s regulatory and tax environment
Qualifications
- Qualified professional (e.g. CPA, CA, CTA , or equivalent)
- Strong professional reputation with high credibility among clients and intermediaries
