We are partnering with a leading investment platform in the venture capital and digital assets space to hire a Portfolio Controller in Singapore.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role within a lean finance team , offering exposure across the full fund lifecycle — from capital deployment to investor reporting and portfolio monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the quarterly and annual fund reporting process in collaboration with external fund administrators, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Review financial statements, NAV packs, and supporting schedules with a strong control mindset
- Manage capital calls and distributions end-to-end, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Monitor fund cash positions and liquidity , and maintain cash flow forecasts
- Partner closely with investment and legal teams on deal execution, including funding flows and transaction support
- Maintain accurate portfolio data and support portfolio performance tracking and valuation processes
- Coordinate with auditors on year-end audit processes
- Support regulatory and tax reporting (e.g. FATCA, CRS)
- Act as a key point of contact for investor queries and stakeholder coordination
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in fund accounting, fund operations, or portfolio finance within PE/VC, asset management, or fund administration
- Prior exposure to fund structures and investment lifecycle (venture capital, private equity, or digital assets is advantageous)
- Experience working with fund administrators, auditors, and external stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail with a hands-on and ownership-driven mindset
- Ability to operate effectively in a lean, fast-paced environment
- Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) – required for internal communication
- Strong English communication skills – required for external stakeholders
- CPA or equivalent qualification is a plus
