Our client, a well-established Private Equity firm, is seeking a Senior Finance Associate to join their close-knit finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain broad exposure to PE fund accounting in a dynamic environment where learning and professional development are valued.
The RoleReporting to the Assistant Finance Manager, you will play a key role in the fund accounting function, working on a portfolio of private equity funds and SPVs. Key Responsibilities- Review and oversee the work of fund administrators, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Prepare quarterly LP reports and full sets of accounts for PE funds and SPVs
- Review NAVs, LP allocations, carried interest, and IRR calculations
- Prepare and review capital calls and distribution notices
- Support the investment team on deal structuring, funding, and final closing
- Coordinate audit processes with fund administrators and external auditors
- Partner with HR on the finance aspects of employee co-investment and carried interest vehicles
- Handle treasury functions including payments, bank facilities, cashflow projections, and FX contracts
- Work with tax agents on local and international tax filings (GST, CIT, FATCA/CRS, MAS tax incentives)
- Approximately 5 years of accounting experience
- Strong fund accounting background, preferably in Private Equity funds
- Experience reviewing fund administrator work or working within a fund administration environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills for liaison with overseas offices (US, Europe)
- Strong technical accounting skills with attention to detail
- Adaptable mindset with ability to think outside the box and problem-solve independently
- Team player who thrives in a collaborative, close-knit environment
- Experience with capital calls, distributions, and IRR calculations
- Understanding of LP reporting requirements and fund structures
- Familiarity with Investran or similar fund accounting software
