The Senior Vice President is responsible for overseeing client relationships and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of accounting and administrative services for real asset funds and their managers. The role combines leadership in client service, operations, and team management, with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Client Service:
Manage and strengthen client relationships, ensuring high service quality and satisfaction. Negotiate and oversee Service Level Agreements (SLAs), monitor performance, and lead quarterly service reviews. Identify scope changes and assess profitability impacts. Collaborate across business lines to deliver integrated solutions and pursue cross-selling opportunities. Provide real estate industry expertise to clients and senior stakeholders. Lead revenue budgeting, margin analysis, and improvement planning, while ensuring compliance with corporate governance and internal policies. - Operations:
Oversee onboarding of new funds and review key documentation. Plan and monitor team resources and budgets. Supervise preparation and review of NAVs, financial statements, and investor reports, ensuring adherence to accounting standards (AASB/IFRS/US GAAP). Manage external audits, client risk assessments, and issue resolution. Review accruals, billing, and variances, and implement process and control enhancements in line with best practices and SOC 1 requirements. - Team Management:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals. Review deliverables and monitor performance to ensure SLAs and financial targets are achieved. Manage resource planning, recruitment, and staff development initiatives. Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Proficient in Yardi is highly desirable (or other similar real estate systems, eg. Yardi, Investran etc)
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Accounting, Finance, business-related area and/or studying for a professional accounting qualification (ie. CA, CPA or ACCA or equivalent).
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in fund administration, accounting or audit (with at least 5 years of experience in Real Assets/Real Estate).
- Knowledge of AASB, IFRS and/or USGAAP.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English (both verbal and written).
- Strong supervisory skills with experience in managing and/or leading staff for 5 years.
- Strong client relationship management skills with proven ability to provide high quality service and manage difficult relationships.
- Project management skills and proven ability to effect change.
- Ability to work under pressure in a highly demanding environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
